iPhone X Battery Replacement
This guide instructs you to completely detach the display and remove the lower speaker and Taptic Engine for better access to the iPhone X Battery's replacement.
Step 1: Power off your iPhone,
remove the pentalobe screws. Use a heat gun or prepare an iOpener and
apply it to the lower edge of the iPhone for about a minute in order to
soften up the adhesive underneath.
Step 2:
Position the suction cups near the bottom edge of the iPhone—one on the
front, and one on the back.Press both suction cups firmly into place.
Step 3:
Hold onto your iPhone securely and close the handle of the iSclack to
slightly separate the iPhone X display screen from the rear case of the phone. Insert an
opening pick into the gap.
Step 4: Open the iPhone by swinging the display up from the left side, like the back cover of a book.
Step 5:
Remove five securing the logic board connector bracket,Remove the
bracket.Use the point of a spudger or a clean fingernail to pry the
battery connector.
Step 6: Bend the connector
slightly away from the iPhone X logic board to prevent it from accidentally
making contact with the socket and providing power to the phone during
your repair.
Step 7: Disconnect the front panel sensor assembly connector and the OLED panel cable connector. pry the digitizer cable connector with a spudger .
Step 8:
Carefully lift the cable until the adhesive separates. Remove the seven
screws securing the bracket below the Taptic Engine and speaker:
Step 9: Lift the bracket from the edge nearest the battery. pry up and disconnect the flex cable underneath.Remove the bracket.
Step 10: Remove the 2.1 mm Y000 screw securing the speaker connector cover. Remove the speaker connector cover.
Step 11:
Peel away any remaining adhesive residue with tweezers. Remove the 2.3
mm Phillips screw securing the Taptic Engine and the Taptic Engine flex
cable. Remove the Taptic Engine.
Step 12: Separate the first battery adhesive tab from the bottom edge of the battery.
Pull
steadily, maintaining constant tension on the strip until it slips out
from between the battery and the rear case.Repeat the previous step to
remove the strip on the opposite side, leaving the center strip for
last.
Step 13: Remove the center strip, Pull and remove the final adhesive strip.
